The Beitou Museum is an area within the Beitou Hot Spring resort that presents exhibits of what the area used to be like when Taiwan was under rule of the Japan Empire.

It’s a fantastic place for history buffs.

How to Get There

Take the Taipei MRT Red Line to Beitou Station. In the same MRT station, transfer to the Xinbeitou MRT Line. This will take you to Xinbeitou Station. Leave the station and walk toward Beitou Hot Spring Resort.

From there, you’ll see signage that says “Beitou Museum.”

What’s There to Do Nearby?

Do these things once you’re done at the Beitou Museum:

  • Beitou Thermal Valley: A hot sulfur spring where people can’t get in the water.
    • Great place to snag photos.
  • Beitou hot spring: Private & public hot springs at facilities & hotels.
    • Prices will vary by business.
