This place was the previous residence of Chiang Kai-Shek. The Taipei government opened it up to the public in 1996. Now it’s a great place to take wedding photos and has an excellent, panoramic view of Qixing Mountain.

Guests who’ve visited this place include former US president, Dwight D. Eisenhower and politician Ronald Reagan.

This place is an amazing place for botany and history enthusiasts.

What to Do

Explore Chiang Kai-Shek’s main residence building. You likely won’t spend much time here and use it as a photo ops. If you’re into history, read the signs.

How to Get There

Take the Taipei Metro Red Line to Shilin Station and leave the station from Exit 2. Turn left on Zhongshan North Rd and continue until reaching the residence.
