The Taipei Fine Arts Museum (TFAM) is an art museum in Taipei City. It’s a great place for art lovers and couples to visit for an hour or 2 to escape the heat.

What to Do

The building’s basement floor has various galleries (D, E, F) dedicated to young artists. The G area is meant for art that promotes or educates something. Exhibitions and exhibits will often change. Meaning there’s no reason for me to say anything specific.

The first floor will have large-scale exhibitions and a gift shop. You don’t need to pay anything to enter the gift shop, which is an okay place to buy museum-specific souvenirs. I don’t recommend anything specific other than postcards.

The second floor hosts exhibitions and permanent exhibits, rotating every 6 months.

And the third floor has some thematic exhibitions and gives you an excellent view of the Taipei Expo Park.

TFAM is near the Taipei Expo Park, which is full of places to eat, entertainment, bars, and a farmers market on the weekends. Check it out once you’re done, or if it’s not too hot outside.

How to Get There

Take the Taipei Metro Red Line to Yuanshan Station and leave from Exit 1. From there, follow a pedestrian trail to the Art Park of the Taipei Expo Park. You’ll eventually turn left on Zhongshan North Road, Section 3.

Or take one of the following buses to the Taipei Fine Arts Museum stop:
